My Voice Experience
My whole life I have always loved meeting new people and anything that brings us closer together and helps us connect with each other in a positive way. The way that I have always been able to connect best with people is by using my voice. I love to tell stories and I love to listen to other people's as well. In the business of voiceover, I've found that there are endless stories to be told and ways to communicate with each other whether that be through a 30 second commercial or literally through narrating a story and I am fascinated with all aspects of the process.
I have had professional training in voiceover with Deb Doetzer in the "Voiceover for Improvisers" class at the Second City Training Center in Chicago and have also taken an "Intermediate Voiceover" class with voiceover artist, Jeff Lupetin, at The Actors Studio Chicago.
I am also an improv and film actor, as well. I received my Bachelor's Degree from Grand Valley State University in Sociology. Although it is not directly performing arts related, it is from my strong interest in people and the human condition that my interest in acting derived from.
My Studio Equipment
I have a small studio at home where I am able to send in auditions from.
Microphone: Shure PG42 cardioid microphone
Headphones: Shure 440
Interface: Shure X2u
Improv at the Second City and iO Chicago has trained me to make strong choices and stick with them while also providing flexibility for my instincts on what a spot is conveying.
