Wry, warm and clear. Lots of characters.
My natural voice is clear, warm and intelligent-sounding.
I have an excellent ear for accents and the characters behind them.
Some of my most successful characters so far are:
Warm, sweet mom or grandma
Crabby old woman
Comic Slavic accent
New York woman
You name it; I'll find the character.

My Voice Experience
As a professional actress, I have appeared Off-Broadway, Off-Off-Broadway, and in regional theatres, in both plays and musicals. A few examples of my many radio spots include the future mother-in-law for Mountz Jewelers; the bakery lady in a series of 3 spots for Tastykake; and a grandmother teaching her grandaughter to make a bomb in the kitchen for Playstation. Most recently, I recorded the voice of Ethel Goldschmidt for the notorious ad campaign for Ethel's Brew.
Highlights as a spokesperson include a PSA for the Wellness Community featured on ESPN; a point-of-purchase video for Olivenol, a nutritional product; and radio spots for Capital Health and the Heart Institute.
In addition, I have recorded 3 storytelling phone apps for Disney, and a radio play/phone app for a safety hotline for Appalachian miners.
Because of the warmth and clarity of my voice, I have done many phone hold messages for local businesses.
I am currently represented several New York agents and casting directors: Suzy Friedman, Ginger Dicce, Take One, Eileen Haves, Naomi Kolstein, and Sue Winik, as well as several managers: Ingrid French, Suzanne Schachter and Michael Katz.
David Zema's Voice of Success program provided most of my training, although I briefly studied with Ruth Franklin. I have a BFA from Stephens College as a Theatre major, and have studied acting, singing and dance with various coaches.
My Studio Equipment
My home studio is very basic--computer and a good microphone. I have easy access to a David Zema's professional studio, as well as his services as a sound engineer.
My background as an actress has been valuable because actors are taught to take direction and use the words on the page -- to find the character in the copy.
Because I am also singer and recording artist, I can readily find the phrasing in long copy, I have good breath control and am comfortable in any recording facility.
I continue to perform on-camera in commercials and film and of course, on stage.
I have a repertoire of sound effects: growls, gurgles, barks, screeches, yowls, animals, etc.
