Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
I can do a (Southern American)accent with a bit of a twang, I can do a spry little old lady, I can do a little girl not much older than the age of "free" (more on the cartoonish side), I can do a high pitched (not quite sounding like Mickey Mouse-but similar) sounding voice, I do a pretty good Glomer (Off of Punky Brewster) & ended up with a deep, unusual sounding voice when trying to do Bullwinkle.
My Voice Experience
The VERY first voice over experience I ever had was when I was 17 years old. I was asked to voice a Documentary from World War I, which was played at a Kiosk set up at the local Mall where individuals could sit down on recliners, put on a headset and listen.
Years later (in my mid twenties), I came across another opportunity to do the Narration for this Bravo Television Production called "The Muse."
Following a good 8 years later, I read the 6 O'Clock News for CTV off their teleprompter.
These "circumstances" sort of fell on my lap and it wasn't until 2007 when I realized I was tired of the mundane Managerial job I had with the same Company for 14 years and decided that voice over was where I wanted to go, so I started to take classes/workshops to learn more about it and to enhance my abilities. I finally landed a spot on TCT Ministries to do a voice over for a Christian Commercial and continued to take more classes. Eventually work was getting in the way of what I really wanted, so I quit my job to pursue this avenue full-time & have landed several voice over jobs since then.

My Studio Equipment
I have my own studio. I use adobe audition 1.5 and a MXL990 cardoid mic with pop filter.
I also have convenient access to two different studio's within close proximity, one of which contains a large natural light control room with surround monitoring on Genelec speakers, an ultra low noise benefit, a SONY DMX R-100 48 channel fully automated digital console, ISDN patch capability, Digidesign ProTools 5.1 editing and recording hardware/software with over 135 gigabytes of on line storage and a host of digital processing, sound FX and music libraries, top quality microphones including Neumann, AKG, Schoeps, B&K, Electrovoice & Sennheiser & V1 instant lock digital video with projector and motorized screen.
I LOVE to learn new things and I take on every "tasteful" opportunity that comes my way because I know I will get "something" from it and it will serve as some form of purpose within the future. This shows that I am capable, experienced and flexible. But MOST importantly I'm SINCERE and sincerity sells.
I should also mention that I have some experience in public speaking as I've had to do several presentations to groups that range from 20 - 500 individuals for the Company I was with for 14 years. I quite enjoy it.
I also attended a poetry convention and read a poem to the spectators on behalf of a colleague who stood by my side. I mention the public speaking because I was able to hold everyone's attention and even the attention of those who fell asleep listening to previous speakers!
