My Voice Experience
Professionally, my most recent work was narrating a series of in-house promotional videos for a multi-national chemical company, Ashland Inc. This job required a professional tone without sounding mechanical and included heavy use of technical terminology.
I also write, record, and produce my own podcast where I am required to adjust my range, tone, and accent to accurately portray different characters for radio shetches.
I studied commercial voice acting from Ed Lewis at Hyperbolic Audio in New York City. He has extensive experience as an actor, agent, and casting director for TV and radio and used that experience to coach me on my strengths as a voice actor.
I have also studied improvisational and sketch comedy through The People's Improv Theater and UCB theater in NYC. This allows me to quickly and easily adjust to changes from directors or copy-editors while still delivering a quality read.
My Studio Equipment
I have an in-home recording space, which is fitted with foam sound-proofing tiles, as well as a Blue Yeti Pro microphone.
I am currently working on a self-produced podcast which includes comedy sketches, radio plays, and various audio segments. Many of which, I write, record and edit myself.
I have worked in a corporate environment for many years now, which means I understand how recordings for professional use typically sound.
I also have a degree in chemistry with a minor in math, which means I understand and can pronounce copy that might include any scientific or overly technical jargon.
