Smooth, Versatile, Young Professional, Characters
My voice is very versatile. My natural speaking voice is a very smooth tenor octave. For voice-overs I've become a jack-of-all trades. A little throaty and wry for sports promos, smooth and warm for Valentine's Day, flat for old timey radio spots, friendly for ads that appeal to seniors, upbeat and kid-firendly for addressing little ones, etc. Everything form funny gags, to serious corporate training and all points in between.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
I have developed all kinds of different sounds for the many projects I've voiced over the years. Some of these include: Criminals, Superheroes, Scottish, Announcers, Irish, Wisconsin, New Yorker, Bostonian, Surfer Dudes, Hillbilly/Redneck/Southern, Cheesy Romance, Sport sponsor announcers, Southern Gentleman, Dweeb/Nerd, Book-On-Tape, Hell's Angel, Construction Worker, Like-So-Whatever Teenager, Clown, Narrator, and more!
My Voice Experience
I've been using my voice in a public/professional way since the age of 14. I started as a PA announcer and then trained in Radio/TV. I've even worked as a ring announcer for a local wrestling, excuse me, "Sports Entertainment" school. I've hosted fashion shows, parades and even done play-by-play for basketball games.
But most of my experience has been in producing broadcast commercials for local clients. Unlike many of my peers, I've never been satisfied with just a "regular, dry read commercial". I believe that every client deserves to have a unique sound. Something that is special, just for them. I work closely with clients to write and specially tailor a script that will effectively communicate their product/business and get peoples attention. Sometimes that involves humor, sometimes I pull at the listener's heart strings, and other times its just a matter of clearly and concisely conveying the clients message. Throughout the years I have developed a stable of voices/styles that I can bring to any project, no matter the project, product, purpose or budget.
When I was in junior high school, I participated in a performing arts singing/dancing troupe. I also worked various announcing jobs. As far as formal training, my high school had one of the pre-emanate television production programs in the state of Florida. I used my voice on everything from news segments to commercials, PSAs and live events.
After that I worked professionally in television for a year and then became employed in the radio industry. I have over 15 years of broadcast experience now, and also try a variety of other "Voice" gigs when given the opportunity.
Two years ago I decided to go back to school to attain a Broadcast Journalism degree. I continue to work on my education when I'm not making radio.
My Studio Equipment
My primary studio features a Shure SM7B, however I also have a Blue Snowball USB mic, an Audio Technica P48, Shure interview mics, and Sennheiser HMD 280 headset mics.
I use a Symmetrix 528E processor that can be adjusted on the fly, a Mackie 1202-VLZ3 mixer and a Behringer Compsoer PRO-XL processor that I utilize from time to time. I mainly use Adobe Audition, however I'm extremely proficient in Vegas Audio as well. The main studio utilizes an iMac and a MacBook Pro.
For audio transport I have dual ISDN lines connected to a Zephyr Classic and a JK Audio (please don't judge) Broadcast Host POTS hybrid. Of course I can send to FTP or upload files as well.
The secondary studio is a full-on broadcast studio with Heil PR-40 mics, Symetrix 528E processors, an Aphex Compellor, Adobe Audition, and an Arrakis (again, don't judge) console. I can transport audio via Comrex Access and Barix In/Exstreamers, as well as all of the "Over the Internet" options.
I'm used to creating productions from start to finish, so the idea of ONLY voicing a piece still amuses me. Normally I'll work closely with a client to better understand their product/message, and then write a script to reflect the client's goals.
We'll then work together to edit the script until it meets the approval of the client. From there, I'll voice, edit, and produce the work to the satisfaction of my client.
