Casey Galvin

Adaptive, character-centric, wide-ranged.

Voice Description

My voice can be used in many different variations, to handle many types of projects. It can be used for anything from: soothing or fun commercial, to smooth and young professional, to warm casual for radio, to a high-pitched cartoon for children's ads/programming. There are very few North American accents that I cannot manage to produce. Though I am in my mid-twenties, I can manipulate my voice into the lower middle-age range, or raise the pitch to match a teenager. The usage of my range will depend on the product offered and the script requirements. Being new to the voice industry, I've yet to find a male role that I will not attempt. Thank you for your consideration.

My Voice Experience

I originally started using my vocal talent after high school when I attempted stand-up comedy. My usage of it included: celebrity parody, regional-accent storytelling, and topical comedy centered around daily news. Another use on stage were topical rants involving 1990's nostalgia. This often involved angry rants over products that are no longer available or shows that were cancelled too soon. If the audience did not respond well to that line of comedy, I would transition into calm, warm recollection pieces on fond 1990's memories. This usually required a warm, inviting accent, similar to TV commercial or infomercial voices of the time period. This occurred in various Atlanta comedy clubs from 2007 to 2009. I eventually had to leave that opportunity to care for a family member, which continued until early 2012.

My Training

I attended the Athens Academy School from 2002 through 2006, and getting my high school diploma there.
During that time, I took both Acting and Art classes, with a higher focus on Acting.
After graduating, I attended Auburn University for a short time before taking a medical withdrawal before being able to complete a full semester. At the time I was taking a Theater class, while majoring in History.
Most of my training has been acquired through stand-up comedy. I've had an interest in film & radio since I was young, but always chose different courses. So, most of my skills have been acquired through self-training and listening to different media.

My interest in film and radio has also led to an ability to mimic many celebrities or different accents that I believe will prove invaluable. I thank you again for your consideration.
