My Voice Experience
Here's just a little blurb about where I'm coming from in the voice over world. I have had 20 years of experience in vocal training and technique. In this VO world, you have to find what you are good at, and focus on doing that. I have a versatile voice, capable of doing many things. I am able to accomplish a variety of different voice over genres. But my specialty is breathing life into characters in documentaries, games, and animation. I recently did voices for an upcoming exhibit at the new Seminary Ridge Museum at Gettysburg. I also did a character voice for a documentary about the 100th anniversary of Hill Auditorium at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.I have voices for video game developers such as Eipix Entertainment, Daily Magic Productions, and Principle Audio.
Here's a brief outline of my education:
Education- B.A. in Music Performance- Austin Peay State Univerity, Clarksville, TN 1995
Masters in Music, University of Nebraska-Lincoln 1997
Certificate in Performance, Northwestern University, Evanston, IL 1999
My performance career is extensive. Here's my musical career, in a nutshell. I made my Carnegie Hall debut as bass soloist for Schubert's Mass in G Major. I have performed with companies such as the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra and Opera and Portland Opera. I was chosen as soloist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra performing Schoenberg's Moses und Aron in Berlin, Germany, under the baton of Pierre Boulez. I perform regularly with the Chattanooga Bach Choir as baritone soloist.
On top of performing, I am also a private voice instructor at Chattanooga State Community College, where I also direct the opera ensemble. I have also taught voice at University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, Elgin College, Lee University, and Tennessee Wesleyan College.
I am also a stage director, staging various opera productions and scenes programs.
