Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Genuine North American regular, fake eastern European, fake German, irate old man, crusty emotionless man's man, fake movie trailer guy, Dennis Miller type, Denis Leary type (or "Dennis Leary" if you happen to spell it that way). If there's anything else you want to hear in a fake version, just ask.

My Voice Experience

Hmm. Blaine sounds familiar.

Was it on radio or TV? Was it State Farm Auto Insurance, Bud Light, TJ Maxx, or the Auto Club? Or was it any of hundreds of commercials he’s written and voiced for markets from LA to NYC.

Or, was it in a technical video, financial presentation or business e-learning course? An educated guy with a Yankee upbringing, there's a distinct ability to sound clear, authoritative, and resonant on even the most diabolically technical and number-ridden copy. He always sounds like he knows what he's talking about. It's a good skill to have.

With a lifetime around show biz, Blaine Parker is, at heart, a true radio ad geek. Much to his parents’ chagrin, he counts Dick Orkin, Dan O’Day and The Firesign Theater among his formative influences.

For more than a decade, he’s spent most days toiling away in a small room with a Neumann, an Aphex, and a big honkin’ work station. He occasionally comes out to check the meat in the smoker and feed his wife’s 19-year old cat.

A national award-winner in both Voiceover and Copywriting, the tin cluttering Blaine’s shelf includes Radio Mercury, Mobius, Silver Mic, Tesla, ADDY and SCBA.

A chronic writer, Blaine is also the author of two books on radio advertising, and a collaborator on several screenplays circling various levels of development hell.

Blaine escaped from Los Angeles with his writer/director wife, Honey. They presently reside in the Slow Burn Mountaintop Marketing Fortress outside Park City, UT. Blaine was raised by wolves in Greenwich, Connecticut. This may account for the urbane yet snarky sound. It’s in the breeding. Or maybe the water. Perhaps both.
