Warm, caring, sincere, professional, working mom.
I have an accent-free, pleasant sounding woman's voice. I can play a mom, for commercials; business woman, for professional presentations; flirty-type, for commercials--any persona you need--I can do. With my acting experience, I would be an excellent candidate for narrations. I have had voice training and acting experience. I cold-read well and have excellent diction.

My Voice Experience
The only experience I have in voice-over work was back in 1983 in Kansas City Missouri. I was spending the summer at my Grandparents theater, The Bell Road Barn Playhouse. My Aunt Janie, who was in the "biz" invited me to perform in an educational filmstrip on the history of the state of Missouri--or some such thing. Of course I accepted! I loved sitting in the studio wearing those (huge) headphones and acting with just my voice.
I have always sung in choirs, and musical theater, and I have always acted. As time has gone by, though, my creative experiences have grown farther and few between. I have decided to change that. I am auditioning for the Hartford Choral in June, I've written a chidren's book, and I recently finished my voice demo-tape. Now I am on the job search. I am a preschool teacher, so I have no inhibitions--tell me what to say and how to say it, and I will.
Attended an adult education class sponsored by "What a Voice" LLC. It was interesting and informative.
I have had 4 years of voice lessons, resulting in excellent voice and breathing control.
I have a Bachelor's in English, and am working toward my Master's in Education.
I have acted and sung for a total of 7 years.
I also am always writing--an aspiration of mine is to get published.
I have also had a lot of public speaking experience as a leader in the Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees).
My Studio Equipment
I am not knowledgeable about audio engineering--BUT, I have a good friend who owns a recording studio, with all the bells and whistles, and it wouldn't be a problem getting my voice to the client in an efficient and timely manner.
I am easy to work with, extremely hard-working, smart, a fast learner, and an excellent listener. I have an excellent "ear". You only need to tell me once what you want, and I will give it you! I am eager to do well in this field. I hope I get the chance!
