I have recorded hundreds of episodes over the course of over four years of podcasts. This has often involved recording canned intros and other spots as well as promos and other short content.
I received a JD from the UC Davis School of Law, which required me to take several classes to develop my ability to formally present written material to audiences of varying sophistication. I have consumed numerous hours of online learning about voice acting and audio creation.
I record using a variety of tools. My recording space consists of an acoustically treated cubicle with multiple layers of sound dampening. I own several microphones: including a Sennheiser MKH416, Rode NT1, EV RE-20, Blue Yeti, and ATR2100. I use Behringer audio interfaces and a DBX 286 channel strip to provide some processing before the audio goes into Reaper. I almost always carry the MKH416 and an LS-100 digital recorder with me to provide the ability to offer near immediate turnaround on demand.
