Anthony Sytko

Versatile, Impressions, Newsman, Character

Voice Description

Versatile and good overall quality. Range: 20-50. Can change sound & style to reflect needs of project - smooth & mellifluent for presentations, hard and energetic for newscasts and trailers, warm for narrations. Will work with producer to achieve right "sound"; also able to interpret copy to give it a different feel. Born & raised in New Jersey, and my experiences with different characters make me perfect for voiceovers.

My Voice Experience

It started in college with four years of college radio at 91.3 FM WTSR, where I was Sports Director and News Director. An internship with WCBS-FM followed, where I learned about commercial voice overs from Chris O'Neil, the production manager. I followed that up with another training class by George Flowers. I then worked for 2.5 years as a news anchor for WWZY/WHBX The Breeze, WKMK Thunder 98.5 and WHTG/WBBO G-Rock, doing on-site reporting and live news coverage.

My Training

Bachelor of Arts - Communications - College of New Jersey; Juris Doctorate - Seton Hall University School of Law; 6 months of training under George Flowers for commercial voice overs

My Studio Equipment

Audio-Technica AT2020 USB mic with Audacity

Additional Skills

By trade, I'm a self-employed attorney with solo practice focusing on estate planning. But this is my passion, and something I love to do. This gives me the flexibility I need to work with you to get the sound you're looking for. I won't stop until you're satisfied; no happy producer = no money for me. In my spare time I'm an elected official in my town, and I play roller hockey. I'm also willing to throw down in a Rock Band guitar battle with anyone. My voice is like me: jack of all trades, and can adapt to fit what the situation calls for.
