My Voice Experience
Amy appears on the Freshwater Seas audiobook recordings of "The Gift of the Magi" and "Do I Love Thee...Let Me Count...Poems for Lovers" (as Amy Caldwell). Her vocal and textual work are hallmarks of her stage acting career, interpreting works ranging from Shakespeare to Tim Robbins with such theaters as Michigan Classical Repertory Theatre, Drury Lane Oakbrook, and Chicago Dramatists.
Amy trained in Voice Over at the Acting Studio Chicago with industry experts Deb Doetzer and Jeff Lupetin. Amy's vocal talents had been previously honed in the Purdue University Choir while also studying acting technique, including vocal work, in the Purdue Theatre Program (minor in Theatre, B.S. Actuarial Science, M.S. Mathematics Education). Additional acting and vocal training have been obtained with private instructors as well as at Act One Studios and Acting Studio Chicago. Nearly twenty years of coaching collegiate and high school Speech competition have also taught Amy much about technique and effectiveness from the directorial perspective.
