My Voice Experience
My Voiceover Career in Pakistan
2003: The first Radio Station in Pakistan to have a dedicated "English Music" slot had an opening for a radio host. with no prior experience I was thrown into the deep end in front of the mic with the only safety net being the playlist of music I brought along that day. After 1 month of low confidence, mistakes, dead air, and a handful of dedicated listeners, I was scouted by Spectrum Y&R (agency) for an audition for a radio commercial.
The first commercial I did was Citibank Clear Card (for Radio), the studio paid me $40 and I was over the moon. Little did i know that at the time the industry standard was about twice as much. After this first commercial I was booked for 12-15 jobs in the next month. I have since worked for 70+ different clients and agencies been to 30+ studios, and done so many voiceover jobs I have honestly lost count.
