Nancy Zrake

Typical mother type voice; teacher

Voice Description

My voice has a smooth fluency and excellent modulation for reading children's stories. I can also read adult literature with appropriate expression.

I have the mother-next-door type of voice which works well for commercial products. I can convey a message with warmth and sincerity, but also with a light edge and humor.

I am able to express all emotions authentically, but I am able to speak in a professional, smooth style, as needed for industrials.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

My Voice Experience

I actually have no experience in doing voice over work. I have been working on my acting skills for the past eight years, and have done a lot of regional theater and independent films. My last show, I had the role of Marjorie Taub in "The Tale of the Allergist's Wife" which required that I have a New York accent. In the review of the show, I was described as having 'a perfect New York accent'.

I have done radio theater and have taken on a number of voices, from children playing in a swamp, to a teenager walking home with a different boyfriend every day, to one of the haunting voices in Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven".
