Award winning Full-time Bilingual Voice Actor / Narrator with professional ISDN equipped studio
"Melissa is one of my go to voice talents ...she gets it ...she's part of my team." Sam Raimi – Director / Producer
Smart, powerful, quietly confident. I turn words into messages and the mundane into the magical.
I'm a well traveled native New Yorker who can bring a global outlook (and accent when appropriate) to an intelligent American sound – not only in English but in fluent Spanish as well. (Many clients love that I can do their scripts in both languages!)
I've been working as a voice actor and narrator for more than 20 years and can be heard on commercials, in film, documentaries, museums and national parks, on corporate brand identity films and educational narrations, as well as promos, animation, sizzle reels, storyboard animatics and audiobooks. My work ranges from anthem reads to evil queens, medical to Nahuatl (no vowels? no problem!), history to geography and 'from crime...to the divine'®. I'm based in NYC but I work for clients worldwide from my ISDN equipped studio. I've won 4 MCA-I Golden Reel awards for my VO work, for One World Trade Center, Tory's Calgary, Philips Healthcare and IBM.

As a former business anchor for the Wall Street Journal, and co-host of Newsweek on Air I bring intelligence and credibility to informational programming. I also worked for many years in film and TV distribution, production and post-production on feature films and TV series - which enables me to see the big picture as regards your project. Much of this work was international (Spain, France, Italy, Mexico) which gives me a broader outlook than most. Acting, of course, because that's what we voice actors do.
My time in radio improved my timing, my production background enables me to get a complete perspective on your job and being bilingual gives me an agility with language that lets words like carboxymethylcellulose roll off my tongue, while narrating a medical script, just as easily as names like Huitzilopochtli, when I'm telling a story of ancient Mexico. I grew up in New York City but have lived in many countries so while I speak with no accent I can bring back both an international English accent and a New York accent before you can say "The Bronx."
