I do not have prior voiceover experience. Although, my voice was always requested for voicemail greetings by co-workers and family members because they preferred my tone and style over their own. I was also recommended in recording the office phone greetings as well. For a training homework project that my group had to do in Supervising Training Camp, I was chosen to speak and present our PowerPoint presentation because I had the best voice to do so. As usual, I got many compliments after the presentation. I have always been told that I should look for work that requires me to use my voice. So I am trying it out to see if professionals, like yourself, see the same qualities in me. I currently do a segment on a radio show presenting a featured soul artist every Saturday on WPBRadio.com. I also do podcast videos for artist feature songs with me introducing their song on the podcast. I am also a singer which I am currently working on my first album.
I did not seek any training in voiceover. My sister has voiceover training material and after reviewing her material, I felt that I had what was required naturally. I had started training my voice to pronounce every syllable and express every feeling ever since I was in elementary school after my favorite English teacher told me that I read beautifully. I just fell in love with entertaining with my voice and it just became a part of me. I think my singing and the training that I received in singing helped also.
