Project Main Details
I manage a YouTube channel with 150,000 subscribers and growing that revolves around music, specifically the former contestants of talent shows like The Voice. I'm currently developing a series of videos that will discuss in-depth what their lives have been like after the show. Each video will be 10-12 minutes long and cover a wide range of topics. The release date will vary for each video, but the plan is to produce one a week. The budget listed on this project is per video.
The project requirements:
- 8-9 minutes of narration/per video (VO only - not on-camera)
- Posses an upbeat and excitable reading style. Be fun and relatable while also maintaining the flow of the script. Similar to this speaking style: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOBZUotN0GY
- Have professional studio equipment/Be able to process your recordings to a certain level (mitigate background noise, alter gain levels, etc.)
This kind of project hasn't really been done by anyone up to this point and that's what makes it so interesting! The large and ever-growing audience that eats this stuff up (talent show genre-type shows) is what I think will ultimately drive the success of this series!
Join in on this new, exciting venture and let’s see what we can create! 2017-06-26 19:01:57 GMT 2017-07-02 13:00:00 (GMT -06:00) Central Time (US & Canada) Yes (click here to learn more about ) Closed 15 15 1 direct invitation(s) have been sent by the voice seeker resulting in 0 audition(s) and/or proposal(s) so far. Sawyer Fredericks easily persuaded the judges during his audition, inducing all four coaches to turn around for him, And when we say easily persuaded...well, just look for yourself how quick the minds were made up for 3 of the 4 coaches.
His cover of “A Man of Constant Sorrow” was powerful and unique, making for a performance that stood out among the competitors.
A crowd favorite, Fredericks rise to the championship was relatively untarnished, leaving him tied for youngest to win The Voice along with Danielle Bradbery. At just 16-years-old, Fredericks collected one-hundred grand and a record deal with Republic.
The same deal that left many winners before him with a bad taste in their mouth..
But not Fredericks. His post-Voice release debuts were incredible successes. With his self-titled EP being the first to be released under Republic, it reached Number 49 on the Billboard 200, with his album, “A Good Storm” reaching the 48th spot. In a world of Drakes and Beyonces, these were GREAT numbers for a contemporary folk singer under the age of 20.
However, Fredricks did eventually split from Republic in what he described as an “amicable and mutual decision”. His forthcoming album was just announced in May 2017, along with an international tour...well, USA and Canada but hey, that’s still international.
Even under the independent route, nothing seems to be slowing down Sawyer Fredericks. We can’t wait to see what lies ahead in the youngster’s future.
