Script Details

Please read the “Mathew” lines; the other lines are provided for context. Mathew is hosting an enslaved man he knows from a nearby plantation on a wet, windy night. At this point in the scene, their voices are conversational but on the low side so they are not heard by others outside the slave cabin.

Mathew: Hope rain won’t keep you awake.

Male Guest: Rather be listening to rain than sleeping in it.

Mathew: How the roads coming over?

Guest: The wagon was near to sliding off into the mud.
Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
