Project Main Details
The American accents in question range from
* Inland Northern American/Chicago (preferably without the 1980s+ full vowel shift)
* Greater New York City
* New England
* General American
* There are also potential readings for which Russian, Swedish, and other Eastern European accents would be preferable
The readings will be broken into up to four batches, to be scripted/read/delivered one a month, alongside the show's recording schedule. Most readings will be part of the first batch. Having three other batches means readings can be adjusted during editing. We can negotiate the schedule with reason (see TX dates); if I can reduce the number of batches because I'm confident of the readings in later eps, I will.
* Script delivered by 1 Mar, recorded by EOP Mar 4 (TX Mar 7)
* Script delivered by 28 Mar, recorded by EOP Mar 31 (TX Apr 4)
* Script delivered by 25 Apr, recorded by EOP Apr 28 (TX May 2)
* Script delivered by 30 May, recorded by EOP Jun 2 (TX Jun 6)
(The word count (and payment) is for the whole contract, not per batch.)
This project is non-profit, but there is a modest budget for actors. The agreed fee is for all non-commercial use, including release online and broadcast on a community radio station Resonance FM; commercial use (which is unlikely) would be covered separately. That fee would be fully commercial.
I suggest that payment will be half on accepting the first set of readings, and half on the last. 2017-02-23 13:38:35 GMT 2017-02-28 20:00:00 (GMT 0) Greenwich Mean Time: Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon, London Yes (click here to learn more about ) Closed 2 2 2 direct invitation(s) have been sent by the voice seeker resulting in 0 audition(s) and/or proposal(s) so far. NEW YORK HERALD (criticising the editor of a rival newspaper during the civil war; ironically, Greeley isn't even a vegetarian, but it's part of the attack on him as a supporter of fighting a war against slavery: New York accent)
He became an abolitionist in order to secure subscriptions to his paper, and remained so in order to foment a civil war and grow rich upon its plunder. From a vegetarian poor Greeley was transformed into an ogre, eating human flesh - into a ghoul, feasting upon corpses.
(This is a team chant in the 1900s, for the U Chicago athletics team. So an old pre-1980s Great Lakes accent would be best. But it’s most important to make this feel like a sports chant - I’ll overlay the real recording over some cheering crowds.)
Sweet potatoes, rutabagas, sauerkraut, squash!
Run your legs off, Cap’n De Tray!
Sure, our milk fed men, by gosh! Will lick ‘em bad today!
