Toms X Starbucks is a One for One collaboration that will promote culture, job growth, and safe drinking water, all while allowing millennials to do what they do best - drink coffee.

It starts with a uniquely designed cup made by Tom’s featuring the artwork of regions where the coffee is cultivated. (In order to promote cultural awareness)
Starbucks will then sell the cups and the coffee from the regions.
When consumers purchase the cups, they receive a discount on all of the regional coffee flavors.

The money from the purchase of the cups and the coffee will help those specific regions access to safe drinking water.

Starbucks customers can watch the growth of the regions hydration process through their Starbucks app.

While the TOM’S Coffee initiative worked
to help build clean water infrastructure in developing countries,
the sales didn’t match expectations.

But, what if we took TOM’S coffee up a notch
to a bigger platform?
One with six million daily customers – to Starbucks.

What if TOM’S employed artists from countries
that provide Starbuck's with coffee?

These local artists,
in Guatemala, Peru, and Rwanda.
would create decorative motifs for reusable cups
that are offered at Starbuck’s.

The cups
would provide customers with discounts on coffee,
they’d provide work for local artists,
and would continue TOM’S good work with Water for People.
Because every purchase of cups or coffee
would support clean water initiatives in the countries providing the beans.

Additionally, the Starbucks app will allow customers to see
how their contributions help the region’s growth.

All while allowing millennials to do what they do best –
drink coffee.
