We are producing a short web video series to showcase some yoga stretches corporate workers can do to promote wellness and eliminate common aliments caused by sedentary office life. Videos will be shared online. We are looking for a VO artist to read about 3000 words (we are still working on the scripts so it may be less than this) for our budget of $250.

Even with the best of intentions, it’s not always easy to maintain good posture. Research has found that bending the head at a 60 degree angle to look at a phone screen puts 60 pounds worth of pressure on the cervical spine, the part of the spine above the shoulders. In today’s technology driven workplace, screen-time quickly adds up to become a real pain in the neck!
Fortunately, the discreet Locust Post is the perfect way to reduce neck and shoulder tension. Start by sitting at the edge of your chair with your feet flat on the floor… toes pointing forward. Reach your arms behind you, grabbing the edge of your chair and rolling your shoulders back and down. For a deeper stretch, try interlacing your hands behind your back.
Sit tall, reach the crown of your head towards the ceiling and bring your right ear slowly to your right shoulder.
Hold for three breaths. Slowly change sides and hold for three more breaths. Repeat three to five times or as needed. Locust Pose is also easy to do while standing.
This exorcise opens the chest, shoulders and throat, increasing breath capacity. It also strengthens your back and combats slouching.
