Although Canadians are generally thought of as a polite, gentle, soft-spoken bunch, vulgar language plays a crucial role in Canada's national pastime...

Canadian icon Gordie Howe -- Mr. Hockey himself -- put it best when he said "all hockey players are bilingual, they speak English and they speak profanity."

But what if the vulgar language of Canada’s hockey elite could serve a nobler, more dignified purpose? What if hockey’s 'second language’ could provide an actual second language to thousands of the country's neediest and most vulnerable new citizens?

Across Canada, newly arrived refugees struggle to afford quality English language training... So to raise awareness, and more importantly, to raise money, we created the Curse Cup: a fully-interactive charitable stunt that capitalizes on the fat wallets and filthy mouths of NHL players and fans to fund quality English language instruction for needy new Canadians.

Here’s how it works....

Before the game, we equip the rink, the players and the coaches with ultra-sensitive microphones and recording devices. Over the course of the game, every single dirty word uttered by players and coaches will result in a fine, and after the game, all of the accumulated funds will be handed over to Languages Canada, an established non-profit dedicated to providing quality English as a Second Language Training to newly arrived refugees.
Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
