We use SCADE to generate automatically the code, from models.
In my opinion, a generated code is always more reliable and better optimized than a hand-written code and I know that numerous companies, like Ansaldo, which use the SCADE tools to generate the code for their products.
I know that, Ansaldo for example, does not write manually its code anymore. They tend to use SCADE to generate their code. Because I guess it is too hard for programmers to write and test code at the same time.
At the contrary, creating a model, and automatically generating and testing its code is much easier.
For next year’s students, as the environment will change, your previous onsite tests will remain obsolete, so try to learn the way to test your robots rather than writing hand-code algorithms, and use SCADE is will be better and your work will be much more efficient.
