Save Saint Pauls Kitchen ZD2015146
We are looking for a good documentary film narration -- must be real, natural, warm, caring, but not overly dramatic. This project is a fund raising video so that this Church can save it's outdated kitchen in order to continue to feed the homeless breakfast every Saturday morning. Thanks for auditioning. The budget isn't very large but it's a volunteer project for us and we are donating our production time and marketing services for this project. Pick any part of the script you wish to try out. Make sure you say "Make your pledge today to Save St. Paul’s Kitchen," at some point. Thank you! - Eric

Are you one of those “breakfast is the most important meal of the day” people? You may not know how right you are. For many, it may be the only meal of the day. Since 2005, the people of Lutheran Churches and volunteers from all over Wichita have come together at St. Paul’s Lutheran at the western edge of downtown to feed the hungry. A simple, critical and very effective community mission ... ... that needs your help. Welcome to the Table, St. Paul’s community breakfast, operates from a kitchen that has been in nonstop use for more than 60 years. Our program delivers a hot, homemade breakfast to a couple of hundred visitors every Saturday morning. That’s [2X,000] meals served and [1X,000] bus passes distributed since we started the mission. Your donation will enable Welcome to the Table to serve more of our community. Providing a badly needed remodel and a modern, institutional kitchen is imperative to continue feeding those who are hungry. St. Paul’s aging kitchen is strained beyond its capacity to meet the need. With little workspace, limited refrigeration, a dishwasher needing repair, dysfunctional kitchen exhaust, and antiquated electrical service … … even making buttered toast or pancakes requires a complex choreography of powering off kitchen appliances to avoid blowing a breaker. Our faithful volunteer staff may be slowed by the crumbling infrastructure. But they are undeterred in their service. We ask that you give whatever you can, from love, not as Lutherans or as Christians, but as one human being to another. Jesus made no conditions for feeding the people. He just said, “Give them something to eat.” Will you help us welcome more to the table? Make your pledge today to Save St. Paul’s Kitchen …
