Project Main Details
This is a first-of-its-kind project that aims to combine drama, story telling and safety messaging. The finished movie will be about 45 minutes long. It's a passion project collaboration between film makers, scientists, education experts and 3 fire departments in Southern California. Our goal is to make 1 million students and teachers safer in the next 3 years from this project.
We will need a finished export by this Saturday (7/15).
Hopefully we can get Quake Heroes on TV, and we will submit it to film festivals, but this is not the primary purpose of the project, and we currently do not have any additional distribution in place beyond the FEMA contract. It is currently a government and educational movie. 2017-07-12 02:53:01 GMT 2017-07-15 13:00:00 (GMT -08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada) Yes (click here to learn more about ) Closed 44 43 0 direct invitation(s) have been sent by the voice seeker resulting in 0 audition(s) and/or proposal(s) so far. The Northridge Meadows Apartment Complex… More people died here than in any other location, however most of the residents survived.
But many of them needed help from their neighbors.
After a major quake, there may be many people around you who need help. The story of what happens after the shaking stops, depends on what you do now to prepare.
There are Seven Steps to Earthquake Safety. The first is to secure your space. Use earthquake straps on heavy object, or move them to low-lying positions so they won't fall on you. Move furniture such as bookcases away from beds, sofas, or other places where you spend a lot of time.
This isn't just a story about an earthquake that happened in the past. One day this could be your story, where you live; a day you can't predict, but you will never forget.
Ana felt the earthquake's p-wave: a shockwave that travels about 13,000 miles per hour, and is much harder to feel than the damaging s-wave, which travels at about half the speed. This causes a phenomenon where a small percentage of people, and sometimes animals, will react to an earthquake seconds before big shaking begins.
