Project Main Details

Proud and Loyal Alumni
The project is 6 different voices remembering their experiences in college. Each voice artist will have about 1/2 page of script. The voice work will be used as a voiceover representing student actors in footage that has already been filmed and edited. The sample script below has every character's lines, with male/female listed above, and length is for one voice artist.

Audition required for consideration; feel free to audition for as many roles as you'd like.

The video will be played at live events for university alumni of a specific university that is trying to increase engagement in specific markets. It's not known exactly what markets it will be used in, but most likely in major cities around the United States. The video won't be broadcast on cable or over-the-air systems, but may be posted on the alumni association's web site and/or YouTube/Facebook channels.

Script Details

I remember... I knew Ball State was going to be my home when I took a college tour my senior year of high school. I felt so welcomed and was excited to be on campus. It was not only visually appealing, but everyone was so friendly...

The buzz on campus during Homecoming week is incredible, and it's so fun to be involved. It's the epitome of school spirit!

I was the first one to go to college, let alone graduate from college. I knew that once I left BSU, there was going to be a lot ahead of me that my college career had prepared me for. It was an amazing, yet sad feeling all at once.

Years after my last class, I'm still meeting new friends. We may work in different cities and industries, but we have one thing in common...

Thanks for the memories, Ball State!

After schlepping all my stuff up to the room, I remember my mom crying as I walked her back to the car.

I remember the time we stayed up all night making my first student film. It was exhausting, but totally worth it!

Over and over, Paige recommended me for opportunities to grow and lead. She helped me get an honors fellowship on campus, served as a reference for my first job, and helped me choose a grad school. I am forever in her debt.

I've become friends with staff and professors who have served as life mentors.

While I have many wonderful memories from my time on campus, I've found that my interaction and engagement as an alumnus has been so rich and varied that in most every way that experience eclipses the time as a student.

I loved everything about campus from the noises of the halls to the smells of Lafollette. It's amazing how a bunch of strangers in a dorm can turn into family in just a few weeks.

I remember seeing Frog Baby wrapped up in scarves when the temperature drops.

I remember moving in to Lafollette, sweating bullets from the August heat, and thinking how crazy it was that all these people would help me move my stuff for free!

I remember having a great time at the home football games, even though I don't remember how many we actually won.

I met a nice girl during move-in. We were together throughout our time at Ball State and the night before she graduated, standing beside Beneficence, I asked her to marry me.

She said yes!
