This video will tell the story of the Satellite program and how it began through the lens of two retired emplyees who both worked during the NASA/NOAA satellite innovation era. These two characters reminisce about their time as employees for the government working on satellites. One of the wonderful things that NOAA did was to have an open data policy. They had direct broadcast, encouraged all countries to get familiar with how to use the data. Pretty soon you had this international collaboration that really pushed this game forward very quickly so that, on the global front, there was much more awareness of weather and then environmental remote sensing.
