Project Main Details
Nip It In The Bud, is a campaign revolving around public health concerns due to the increase of marijuana tourism in Colorado. With an increased influx of tourism due to legalized retail marijuana, people of all backgrounds are traveling to Colorado to have a great marijuana experience. However, many of these tourists are not aware of potency, dosage, and laws that revolve around the legalized industry causing them to get "too high" and complicating health problems.
This video is a ~2:15 piece describing the potency, dosage, and laws revolving around the Colorado marijuana industry. Theoretically, the video would be placed at POS in the actual Colorado dispensaries along with other printed elements to help the campaign. 2017-02-03 20:50:03 GMT 2017-02-13 18:00:00 (GMT -05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada) Yes (click here to learn more about ) Closed 15 15 0 direct invitation(s) have been sent by the voice seeker resulting in 0 audition(s) and/or proposal(s) so far. THC - it’s the psychoactive chemical that makes people high, and I’m here to tell ya that the THC potency in our locally grown weed is much stronger than most of the marijuana consumed outside of our friendly state. In marijuana of the past, levels of THC were typically well below 10 percent. But in Colorado's retail bud, the average THC level is 18.7 percent - and some retail marijuana can contain 30 percent THC or more!
Consuming a high dosage of THC at one time can lead to different strengths of impairment such as paranoia, anxiety, and nausea. Some of the most potent forms of retail marijuana are edibles.
When it comes to edibles, we have a saying here in colorado: start slow, go slow. Getting too high is rarely a pleasant experience and single chocolate bar can contain as much as 10 times the recommended dosage of THC. Keep in mind that the effects of edibles vary from person to person. What might be the perfect high for you, might not be so great for your buddy.
With the legalization of marijuana comes new responsibility AND new laws, so we rounded up a few you can’t go without: You must be 21 to legally use marijuana and can only possess up to one ounce of THC at a time.
Once using, it is only allowed in private spaces such as private homes, marijuana friendly hotels and private marijuana social lounges. If you decide to use, make sure it is not in a public area. This includes hotel rooms, rental cars, sporting and music venues, or state and national parks.
And remember, it’s illegal to take marijuana across our state lines.
All in all, Sharing in the positive vibes and good nature of legalized bud can be a great experience, and we want our visitors to have a pleasant stay with us. That’s why NOW is the time to nip it in the bud and be informed about potency, dosage and laws before consuming.
