Navigator Helps Homeless Find Jobs Housing ZD2649396
Provide brief voiceover for 2 minute video that will be "permanently" located on website. The story is primarily carried by interviews with person who was homeless and the navigator who helped her, but we have 3 short bridging statements that need to be narrated. Looking for a warm, professional voice that one might hear on a national public radio broadcast. You're telling an important story; you are conversational and can put in the correct emphasis, but you are not letting your personality overshadow the story.

Warm, but professional. The sound of NPR or the narration of a good documentary.
Stable Housing. Steady Employment. Self Sufficiency. These seem like the most basic of goals, but for homeless families, basic needs like these come with obstacles that seem overwhelming.
The Navigator Model uses one individual—the Navigator—to bring workforce, housing, and social services together to help stabilize homeless families.
It’s a common-sense approach. It provides hope—real-world hope. When homeless people worked with a Navigator, they had a 10 percent greater chance of finding a job, an 8 percent increase in job retention, and were 6 percent more likely to get into stable housing.
