Even though they run you ragged… And try your patience,

You love your kids.

And you’d do anything for them.

You’ve protected them since day one from all the obvious things...

But what about cancer?

HPV is a virus that infects 80 percent of men and women sometime during their life.

Most of the time, people’s bodies clear the virus naturally.

If the body does not clear the virus, it can cause cancer and genital warts.

The HPV vaccine is a safe and effective way to prevent these cancers, with no more side effects than any other vaccine.

Boys AND girls should start the HPV vaccine series between ages 11 and 12 so they have time to develop immunity.

All of the nation’s top cancer centers – along with the American Cancer Society and the American Academy of Pediatrics – endorse the vaccine and recommend it to be included in the standard set of vaccines for this age group.

Make sure your child gets all the required shots so that he or she will be fully protected.

The last chance for men to get the vaccine is age 21 and for women it’s 26.

Ask your child’s doctor for the HPV vaccine.

It’s an easy thing you can do to keep your children healthy and protect them from cancer.
