Languages Canada Charity Campaign ZD1642763
This is a charitable stunt designed to raise money for the language training of new Canadians. Last year Canada welcomed over 25,000 refugees. But unfortunately, many have been unable to receive the language training they need to thrive in their new lives. This project has been designed to raise awareness, and more importantly, money, to help them.

In 2016, Canada welcomed over 25,000 refugees. But due to a shortage in funding, thousands have been unable to receive the English as a Second Language training they need to thrive in their new lives as Canadians.
Excuse our French, but we think this is fucking bullshit. And so do these guys…
Profanity has long been the official second language of hockey, but what if the rampant cursing could serve a nobler, more dignified purpose? What if the vulgar language of the national pastime could help provide new Canadians with the language training they so desperately need? Introducing the Curse Cup: a charitable stunt that transforms cursing into an act of kindness.
Here’s how it works. Before the game, we mic up the players and the coaches. And for each and every dirty word they utter over the next three periods, they’ll be required to make a donation to Languages Canada, an established non-profit committed to placing newly arrived refugees in quality language training programs.
So the more they curse, the more we can help…
And by simply capitalizing on the fat wallets and filthy mouths of Canada’s hockey heroes, we can help ensure that new Canadians are given a better chance at success in their new lives...
