Designed as a true Village, each housing unit is limited in size so that patients can feel the support of others in an environment that supports and strengthens their healing journey.
Help in Healing Home began its mission as the Arizona Transplant House in 1998 in a single residence home at the Brusally Ranch. The property was donated to Mayo Clinic by the family of Ed and Ruth Tweed.
We moved to the Village at Mayo Clinic in 2009 and broadened our mission to serve even more who were facing life altering medical challenges.
We currently provide residence for 48 guests and manage housing for another 36 guests of the American Cancer Society’s “Hope Lodge”.
In our sixteen year history as a small, independent, not-for-profit we have served over 15,000 patients. But, we remember each one individually because each had their own unique story and each became part of our family.
We love volunteers who give of their time to relieve the pain and stress of our guests.
We continue our mission through the generous support of individual donors. We are dedicated to fulfilling the mission associated with our tagline: “Stay with those who care.”
We meet today to dedicate Bob Bove’ Legacy Park at the Village - a peaceful, tranquil place for patients and their caregivers to connect with nature and enhance their healing process.
And we thank those who have and who will support this effort.
For now, please enjoy the music and award winning barbecue.
