Frustrated Female Patient or Employee 4 Min Read 
This is for a 3-4 minute read from the perspective of a frustrated health clinic employee or patient. The audio will be used in a small, private presentation.

We are looking for a female voice to sound like a woman in her mid-30s to mid-40s. This is almost like a monologue, so we want it to sound genuine -- not commercial. It should be read almost in a ranting way, as a person who has been jaded by the health care program in place and doesn't feel optimistic about the future due to the issues they've faced.

Script Details

You want to hear how I feel? Okay, I’ll tell you. To do my job the best I can and do everything I’m supposed to do, I need to fit in with the other employees of the clinic on their terms. If I, or even my supervisor, is on someone’s bad side, I get a “no” or get a rude remark back if I ask for help with something. Sometimes, I feel like I can’t, or don’t want to ask for help from other departments because I don’t want to deal with the negativity around here. A lot of times, even if they’re sitting around doing nothing, other employees don’t want to help me help the patient when I need it, and because of that, me and my team have more work to do. I don’t really like to share my opinion because it won’t be taken seriously anyway, or I end up getting blamed for something if it goes wrong. So I just keep my mouth shut. It is up to me to follow the policies and procedures in place, even if no one can or takes the time to tell me why they are in place. When a patient needs something, the policy’s always right, even if it’s only there because it’s the way we’ve “always done it” – why can’t I just do what’s best for the patient?? My job stops where the policy says it does.
