FOR THE GOOD OF THE SPECIES ZD1479414
The video is promoting a tuque (knitted cap) made from an ultra-fine super-fiber called Qiviut ( kiv-ee-ət), which derives from the Arctic Muskox. The tone is reminiscent of a David Attenborough wildlife documentary- a narrator observing animals in their natural habitat.

In the brutal, unforgiving Arctic tundra of northern Canada, life is simple: stay warm or die.
For thousands of years, the Arctic Muskox has relied on the unique characteristics of its fur to survive the unimaginably hostile conditions of the Canadian Arctic.
As one of the last remaining warm-blooded vestiges of the prehistoric world, the fur coat of the Arctic Muskox has evolved, gradually forging a natural, virtually impenetrable barrier between the animal and the cruel arctic air.
The coarse, outer layer of fur sits atop a delicate, ultra-fine insulating layer of qiviut, a super-fibre which, for the arctic muskox, means the difference between life and death.
Adapting to the physical environment is key to our ability to survive, thrive and evolve in the world.
Take Dave for instance, the Zamboni driver at the North Toronto Memorial Arena.
Like the arctic muskox, his working days are spent in the cold.
Good thing he’s got a tuque backed by hundreds of years of evolutionary resilience.
Dave runs no risk of succumbing to the frigid arena in which he works day in day out.
It is for the good of the species to keep Dave happy. Without him, we would be a dying breed.
So, thanks, Dave.
