Female Voice Talent Parenting Audio Book 
We are looking for a female voice talent to read a parenting book with a lot of enthusiasm and emotional tone. We pay $125 per finished hour of audio. Finished hour of audio has been edited, thought to be mistake free, knowing that there will be a few mistakes here and there. Client is looking for these qualities in the read: Able to generate big, enthusiastic energy for my content; someone who throughout their reading time with my book can communicate in their voice/their reading that this book is unique AND PRACTICAL...that this is "real help right now" for earnest life-long learning parents (this isn't simply another parenting book) Further, the myriad methods and questions are life-changing. I have been told by parents that "my book is 180 degrees different" (in a very positive way) from traditional parenting books. Able to "act/portray the different characters in my real-life anecdotes...for example, can be a impudent, precocious child, an upset, opinionated adolescent and be an earnest, sometimes trying-to-hard-to-do-and-say-the-just-right-thing adult or a confused parent or an excited parents having discovered and used new methods that work. Able to convey the main theme of each chapter, e.g. if the theme is self-reliance that listeners would really be struck by the content and significance of self-reliance practice based on the reading...the reader "brings this forward" if you will.

Script Details

An insightful and genuinely earnest 17-year-old, Isabella, poignantly helped me understand the long-term impact of her parents not listening to understand, and instead lecturing her. While she was working three jobs, her parents said to her: You make money and then you waste it away. You are never going to be able to support yourself. You are so irresponsible.

This approach was devastating to Isabella. She told me: They take this one issue of how I handle my money and label me wasteful and irresponsible, so it feels like a character assassination. It makes me not want to share anything with them. Why would I when I have no experience that my parents would be understanding? Talking to them isn’t a refuge, it’s a nightmare!

If habitual speech making will not create the change you want, what will? Ask, ask, ask! Rather than spending a lot of time telling your children what you think, spend the time skillfully asking them what they think. When some different action or behavior is necessary, begin by asking them what they plan to do.

When meeting young Hayley for the first time, I learned from her mother that the family and her teachers were very concerned that her uncooperative behavior and inattention were greatly impacting her at home and at school. In her own way, Hayley was just as concerned. I got curious, asking her: What do you think happens to you when you are getting in trouble? She responded: It’s about my brain. It feels like the bad side is in front and the good side is in back. Hayley’s mother started to interrupt Hayley, telling her that I wouldn’t understand her if she talked that way. I immediately invited the mother to allow Hayley to tell her story in the way she chose because I was curious about her self-perception and her language choices (see Chapter 26). I knew that allowing Hayley to tell her I-am-often-in-trouble story using her own language would help us move forward with resolving the troubling behavior.

Remaining genuinely curious about how Hayley saw her in- trouble experiences, I asked: Hayley, have you ever considered moving the good side to the front and the bad side to the back of your brain? It still moves me to remember how Hayley’s entire being lightened and she exclaimed: I can see the good side in the front! In that same instant, her mother had tears in her eyes. All three of us felt the shift to new hope! And Hayley added a truly insightful statement that seemed beyond her years: This will work wherever I go! At our next meeting, Hayley reported that the bad side is already shrunk. Her mother said: The listening has been absolutely amazing.
