Project Main Details
This project is for a video that will be played at their annual fundraiser and subsequently on their website and social media channels. The script has a lot of numerical statistics, so the preferred reading of those numbers are included in parentheses.
The voiceover should be strong yet empathetic. There is definitely a problem in South King County Washington with homelessness, but there is also HOPE. This should be conveyed in the read as much as possible. If you do not read the full script, please be sure to include an element of the beginning (the problem) and the end (the hope).
Thank you for your consideration, and please do reach out with any questions or clarifications. 2017-05-16 21:37:17 GMT 2017-05-18 23:00:00 (GMT -08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada) Yes (click here to learn more about ) Closed 15 15 0 direct invitation(s) have been sent by the voice seeker resulting in 0 audition(s) and/or proposal(s) so far. Of those applicants, 60% (sixty percent) reported they were homeless, that’s more than 11,000 (eleven thousand) households.
The homelessness rate among households with children increased to 59% (fifty nine percent).
More than 7,000 (seven thousand students) in King County Public Schools experience homelessness at some point during the school year.
A South King County student is 2.6 (two point six) times more likely to drop out than a student in another part of King County.
Homelessness makes it hard to do the things many of us take for granted - to feed yourself, to go to school, to go to work.
Multi Service Center is here to help meet that need in our community.
Last year, MSC provided services to more than 50,000 (fifty thousand) people in need in South King County.
513 (Five hundred and thirteen) received assistance with education and employment
13,955 (Thirteen thousand, nine hundred and fifty five) visited the food and clothing banks
2,950 (Two thousand nine hundred and fifty) received advocacy through the Long-Term Care Ombuds Program
30,148 (Thirty thousand, one hundred and forty eight) received energy assistance
2,331 (Two thousand, three hundred and thirty one) received assistance with housing
But MSC is more than just statistics, it’s about individuals and families.
