Project Main Details
The project is for educational videos made for primary school aged children between 6 - 11 years old. We are looking for someone with an engaging, entertaining, clear and well-paced voice. The voice over needs to be clear and slow enough so that children can understand the concepts they are learning about, but engaging enough so that all students are paying attention and excited by the content.
This script file is for Mathematics (area and perimeter of rectangles, 2D and 3D shapes). The rectangles content is for 10-11 year old students, and the 2D and 3D shapes content is for 6 - 7 year olds. We would like the voice over to adjust their tone and pace to suit these two audiences. Slower for the young children, and slightly faster for the older children. 2016-11-10 01:00:14 GMT 2016-11-14 12:00:00 (GMT +10:00) Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney Yes (click here to learn more about ) Closed and fulfilled 19 19 1 direct invitation(s) have been sent by the voice seeker resulting in 0 audition(s) and/or proposal(s) so far. Two dimensional, or 2D shapes, are flat. They are called two dimensional because they only have two dimensions – length and width.
Shapes have certain features that help us work out exactly what type of shape they are. These features include sides and corners.
Side: A line in a 2D shape is called a side.
Corner: A corner is where two or more lines meet. A corner can also be called a vertex.
(Rectangles script - 10-11 year old children)
Working out the perimeters of shapes is an important skill to have – you’ll find it super handy when you’re measuring your bedroom, or calculating the size of your chicken coop! But… what on Earth is a perimeter?
Perimeter: A perimeter is the length around a two dimensional, or 2D, shape.
The word comes from the Greek words peri, which means “around”, and meter, which means “to measure”. Therefore, perimeter literally means to measure around!
