The script:

VO: Work teams are very interactive, and need to access each other’s media and data files on a constant basis. Network Storage solved this challenge, and Clustered Scale-out Network Storage made the biggest improvements to workflows in the past decade.

(can show current scale-out NAS from desktop background, left example)

VO: While users can work together with shared data on Clustered Network Storage, new challenges emerged for storage administrators.

(show the red outline around the lower storage node)

VO: There were complaints about inconsistent performance, while at the same time new workflows and larger file formats emerged, requiring more bandwidth and throughput.

(emphasize that each client has only one connection to a node of a cluster, on the left)

VO: That’s where Performance Scale-out Network Storage comes in. Panasas engineered ActiveStor network storage delivering consistent performance and higher bandwidth while supporting all the traditional protocols you’d expect.

(show Panasas storage on the right, the one-to-many lines from client to many storage nodes)

VO: To top it off, Panasas developed DirectFlow for ActiveStor. DirectFlow is a Parallel IO Ethernet protocol that offers superior performance and reliability compared to NFS and SMB. The DirectFlow protocol can access all nodes in a cluster simultaneously instead of just one node in the cluster.

(show that more overall lines means everything is evenly distributed, no red hot nodes)

VO: Panasas ActiveStor – the next generation of advanced performance scale-out network storage for work teams performing modern-day workflows!
