Disasters can strike without warning. They can leave a trail of destruction in their wake - and can change people’s lives.
The Texas A&M Forest Service fire department assistance programs are state-funded programs that help bolster the incident response capability in Texas.

According to the insurance industry – Texas is a top-three natural disaster state – along with Florida and California.

Wildfires, floods and other severe weather have ravaged the Lone Star State in recent years.
No one response agency can protect us from all disasters.

In Texas, we take a tiered approach to wildfire and incident response. And since all incidents begin and end at the local level, we believe in helping build the capacity of local responders.
