Bicycle Diaries SANDBOX v2
SANDBOX BIKE #2: Boy or girl, voice age: 7-10

Seeking voice for a web video to promote an urban cycling event. You’ll voice the role of a neglected bicycle, who’s been sitting in a turtle sandbox—alone—for a long time.

It’s always been a good bike, and it’s not sure why its owner hasn’t come back to play…

Please have a working home studio set up and ready to record (ISDN or Source Connect would be a bonus!). Budget is $300. Use is web buy-out. Video is 45-60 seconds long.

Script Details

OPEN on medium shot of a swing set on a sunny day. CUT to a close-up of toys laying in the grass/yard. Continue cutting between various establishing shots, landing on a medium shot of a very dirty, pink girl’s bicycle with a silver bell, tassels and training wheels sitting in a turtle sandbox.

Birds are chirping in the background.

Sooo it’s been about 8 months now.

Outside… waiting.

CUT to medium shot of bicycle, the sun shining off the handlebars.

Don’t get me wrong…

There’s no better feeling than having your tires in the sand…

…the wind in your cables…

CUT to wide shot that captures the entire sandbox in frame.

It does get cold though.

CUT to close up of the turtle sandbox, smiling.

And the turtle is condescending.

After a beat, CUT to back to the wide shot of the yard/playground setting.

Every once in a while the children come outside to play. I’m not sure if they can’t see me, or if they just don’t want to.

Guess you never know what you have until it’s gone…

But how do you compete with a hover board?
