Our Distribution Centers play a key role in helping us drive business results. So we like to recognize outstanding team performance through the Distribution Center Achievement Award, or DCAA. If your DC earns this quarterly award, you get a cash reward, on top of your regular pay. More on that later…First, let’s talk about who’s eligible to earn the award. That would be … non-exempt hourly team members, AND salaried team members who are not eligible for our MIP. New to the company? You’re eligible the first day of the month following your hire date.
To see if a DC qualifies for an award, we look at results around people, service and cost. People refers to how well a DC runs its operations and ensures its team members stay safe…and stick around. Service measures how well a DC manages a large product assortment while providing exceptional service. Cost recognizes the fastest-growing and most profitable DCs. Based on those combined results, a DC can earn a Gold, Silver or Bronze medal. But only Gold and Silver award winners can get a cash reward. If your DC wins a gold or silver award, how much will you get?
The quarterly reward is the sum of two parts: A pro-rated bonus based on actual hours earned in a quarter and a bonus based on overtime hours worked. It's important to know the types of hours that are included in the award calculation, Here’s a quick example. Let’s say you earn 520 regular hours in a quarter and work 25 overtime hours. If your DC earns a Gold medal award, your total cash reward would be $214.42.
OK. Now you know how we determine if a DC can earn the award, and how a cash reward is calculated. So, what can you do to help your DC earn a Gold, Silver or Bronze medal? There are lots of ways you can support your DC. In other words go above and beyond. In general: be efficient, support your colleagues and provide outstanding service to our customers. Your personal contribution matters, so if you have questions, be sure to see your Manager or HR Manager. Here’s to hard work, team work and a DCAA cash reward in your future!
