BBC BITESIZE KS2 ENGLISH Tenses

This is aimed at 7 - 10 year old's and will be used as a narrator for our three animations: Past Tense, Present Tense and Speaking About The Future. All audio will be property of BBC and will not be liable for any rights. This is a great opportunity to get noticed by a huge broadcasting company.

Erin has made a giant snake bird.

NARRATOR
IS that a giant snake bird?

NARRATOR
Erin’s parents clean the lab.
Erin’s parents are cleaning the lab.
Erin’s parents have been cleaning the lab for two hours.
Erin’s parents have cleaned the lab.

NARRATOR
So, the Present Tense. Four different ways to talk about what’s going on right now.

NARRATOR
So remember. With the Present Tense, we can say what’s going on right now in lots of different ways…

NARRATOR
Erin’s parents clean the lab.
Erin’s parents are cleaning the lab.
Erin’s parents have been cleaning the lab for eight hours.
Erin’s parents have cleaned the lab.

NARRATOR
Erin invents a new giant snake bird.
Erin is inventing a new giant snake bird.
Erin has been inventing a new giant snake bird for ten hours.
Erin has invented a new giant snake bird.

NARRATOR
Wow! She has done it!

NARRATOR
So hey, Erin. What are you doing right now?

NARRATOR
Erin tries her snake bird with various foods.

NARRATOR
Erin feeds the giant snake bird. The giant snake bird gets bigger and bigger.
It eats everything and gets bigger and bigger.

NARRATOR
Erin has been feeding the giant snake bird for twelve hours. The giant snake bird has been getting bigger and bigger.

Erin has fed the giant snake bird. And everyone cheers!
