Script Details

For more than 150 years, BASF has provided a foundation for well-being around the world. With good, reliable jobs that have helped thousands of families nurture strong, happy kids, proud parents, and vibrant communities.

Together, we create chemistry for a sustainable future; for moms, for dads, their sons and daughters. For families.

Every day, you work to solve some of the world’s toughest challenges to improve lives for families across the globe. But there are times when your own family needs you even more. That’s why we offer time off when you need to be there for your family.

Effective January 1, 2017, BASF is making important changes to some of its leave programs to provide more job-protected, paid time off to allow you to be there when it matters most:

ALT LINE: BASF’s leave programs provide job-protected, paid time off. There are four key parts:

6-8 weeks of paid maternity leave for new moms;

Eight paid weeks of parental leave for new moms and dads, including adoptive parents, plus the option to take an additional four unpaid weeks.

Five paid days of family medical leave, for when you need to care for a family member with a serious health condition;

And up to ten paid days of bereavement leave, if you suffer the loss of an immediate family member.

At BASF, family matters. And when you need to be there for your family, we’re there for you.
