If you are still in agreement, we would be glad to audition you for our wonderful project. This is a story about ballooning and a small town that contributed to ballooning history. It is a taste of what is yet to come. Our audience is history buffs, balloonists, balloon enthusiasts, and children both young and old. We rely on how you, the auditioning talent, feel this story should be told with your voice. Deliver the sentence as if the viewer is standing in your shoes. Be conversational and don't hesitate to deliver emphasis or feeling in words. Good luck!

Script Details

These nerdy engineers and children of the sixties diligently brought their individual skills to the table and together created some of the world’s first modern hot air balloons.

Full of spit, grit, and courage, an elegant aircraft was designed with childlike determination. Dozens of new balloon safety standards were invented here in the outskirts of Statesville, North Carolina.

If only these fields could talk.

It was in an old, dusty chicken house, at the foot of the Brushy Mountains, where pure magic happened.

Demand created the East Coast’s first flight school, training brave souls to pilot their passion…to fly.

Word of these-lighter-than-air giants raised the curiosity of the farmers and neighbors around the region.

As things got organized, modest crowds turned into hundreds, thousands, even tens of thousands.

And today, modern hot air ballooning has spread around the world.
