Script Details

The triage nurse dons gloves and climbs into the pickup bed next to the patient. The nurse instructs the emergency technician to get a cervical collar, spine board, and additional help.

• There is active bleeding from numerous facial, chest, and abdominal lacerations (las-eh-ray-shunz). The right arm is covered with a dirty towel, which is saturated with blood.
• The patient is obtunded (ahb-tun-dehd) responding to verbal stimulus with moans and unintelligible sounds.
• Manual cervical stabilization is performed while assessing the airway. Copious amounts of blood and vomitus are present in the oropharynx (oar-oh-fair-inks). Without readily available suction, the nurse attempts a mouth sweep with two fingers to clear the airway.
• While clearing the airway, the nurse noted the mandible (man-deh-bull) had unusual movement, suggesting a fracture. The tongue had slid posteriorly and was partially obstructing the airway. Snoring respirations were noted.
Please note that you should only use the script or your recording of it for auditioning purposes. The script is property, unless otherwise specified, of the voice seeker and it is protected by international copyright laws.
