Project Main Details

401 Kanadian Lines
This is a call for AUDITIONS, NOT DEMO REELS. The name of this project is for the benefit of American voice actors who may want to audition the attached lines. Canadian voice actors may have an edge two ways: 1) they sound Canadian, which is necessary in this Canadian radio commercial; 2) they know what an RRSP is—basically the Canadian version of the US 401 (K). It stands for Registered Retirement Savings Plan, but in this commercial, it stands for weird word combinations that relate to what people want to do with the money they're saving for retirement. The commercial will sound like a bunch of people have been asked by an on-the-street interviewer what RRSP means to them, and each person has a different version of what RRSP stands for. (There's also one line about a TFSA, which stands for Tax-Free Savings Account.) Please audition as many of the lines as you want to—all of them if you can. If you feel like you need to watermark your audition, that's cool. But if you're a trusting type, we'd love to get the lines clean, so we can pick the ones we'll use...AND PAY, without having to record again. (We do a lot of this stuff, and never steal people's work. Or lie.) ALSO...if you're up for it, the more outdoors your audition sounds, the better. So, rather than your usual studio setup, if you'd be willing to record these lines outside...thank you. If you have one of those Zoom recorders, great. But even the Voice Memo app on an iPhone can sound pretty fine—in the hands of a pro like you. And the more distinctive or quirky your voice, the better. Thank you!
