Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I was born and raised in Houston, Texas so Southern dialects are a cinch. Later I moved to Long Island then to Manhattan. So my Long Island and Manhattan dialects have had much practice and research.

My characters are generally upbeat and lively. I like to act out the character as I preform their voice, it helps me to insure that all of my performance comes through the voice.

I like crazy and kooky characters. I love slightly demented characters who try to be understood but just have one screw too many loose. The kooky fairy, the slightly perverted grandmother and squeaky mad scientist are favorites of mine.

But I am capable and enjoy doing any type of voice work within my range. Every character needs a voice.

My Voice Experience

I have been messing around with friends doing voices since I was 10. We would try and do impersonations and try and scare each other all the time. 15 years later I realized I was the only one of my friends still doing it. Once I realized that voice acting was a passion of mine I decided to make a voice reel and give it a go. I love voice acting and I would love even more to use my talent to bring other people's passions of animation to life.

My Training

As of yet, I have no formal training but I continue to work at my skill daily to make myself the best talent I can be.

I enjoy reading stories using unique voices for each character. I try and exercise my skill as often as possible, so that it is at it's best for a client.

My Studio Equipment

I am currently building a studio and have yet to choose my mic. But I have a handheld recorder and some editing software that currently works wonders.

I have used my handheld and editing software many times for editing my own voice projects.

Additional Skills

I have met a HUGE variety of people in my life. I grew up in Houston, Texas then moved to Long Island, went to college in upstate New York, interned at a major comic book company in Los Angeles, then worked odd jobs like bathroom attendant at the Big Apple Circus and the VH1 Awards, then moved to Queens, NY, then worked very closely for one of the wealthiest families in Manhattan for three years, then went to Japan for a bit, then all over the UK and France for 3 months. Finally I realized what a full bank of characters I had come across, and how I could use that bank with my voice and help breath life into other people's project.

Currently I am working on a project featuring original voices and writing by myself. I will post a link to the project once it is ready to see the light of day.
