My Voice Experience
I have voiced phone systems for various local insurance-related companies as well as a local hospital.
I have been producing and recording a half-hour radio show on CRIS radio (CT Radio Information Systems - radio for the blind and print-handicapped) for over twelve years. I have done shows live as well as recorded.
Working as an accountant for many years and speaking with people a great deal in person and on the phone, folks would tell me that I "gave great voice", and that's why I decided to transition to voice-over.
I also have been singing in my local community chorus as an alto for over twelve years (and am currently on the Steering Committee).
I studied voice over with Peter Drew and Michael Ciulla, two tremendously talented and prominent voice-over artists in the greater NY metro area. Both provided an eight-week course of study, and Michael brilliantly produced my demo.
My Studio Equipment
I completed a 6-week stand-up comedy course at Caroline's School of Comedy in New York City, performed my own material at my graduation show at Caroline's on Broadway on 3.27.11, and performed there again at a "New Talent" showcase on 6.6.11. I plan to perform there again at some point in the future.
I have since performed in a number of open mics as well as in a slot in the award-winning Mary Dimino's most recent "Girls Gone Funny" comedy showcase at the Roy Arias Theater in Manhattan. I am working creatively with Mary now and will be taking her 6-week stand-up course as well. There will be a graduation show in Feb. or March 2012 at Stand Up NY Comedy Club ( http://www.standupny.com/talent/ ).
I can write or edit for just about anything (commercial, narration, etc.)
I am extremely conscientious, and have a strong work ethic. I work well with people, am reliable, versatile and directable. And also pretty witty.
