Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart, Humphrey Bogart, Walter Brennon, Ted Knight, Art Carney (Norton), Jackie Gleason (Ralph), Bing Crosby, Neville Brand, Richard Nixon, Walter Cronkite and more and with some warm up I can do most accents. I love to impersonate the impersonator.

Stereotypical New Yorker, a Bostonian, a southern Vermonter, English voices, German voices and others. It's beem awhile but I can pick up or re-pick up all of this here and more.

My Voice Experience

I once read some for a Vermont publication called "Counterpoint". I have done hours upon hours of homemade audio logs of a comic nature to the tune of 600 plus CD's using a Voice Recorder. I briefly did some telemarketing. I served in the Army as a radio operator and wanted to work for AFN but from there it is a long story. I have done some video as well and because I'm ever on the gather most of it remains unrefined. I do it because I love the art & outlet it has provided. It's fun and by definition is not work to me. I am willing to consider most anything except for the XXX stuff. Cartoons and such projects would be most satisfying. I'm at a place where I have nothing to lose by pursuing it now and fulfilling long held aspirations. Any considerations are welcome. I can read copy and put my whole self into it.

My Training

I have an Honorable Discharge from the Army from what point surviving anyway I could became the thing that required attention. Up until now life has had a way of getting in my way. I'm at a "breaking free" point and not done yet. When I die I will be a lucky man if someone is there to say I lived. I managed through all my "travails" and have succeeded with a couple semesters of college until being confronted with more life suprises. I graduated from High School with honors and in those days my options were not what they would be today or courses offered. I have been paid as an extra in a Farrelly Brothers movie and I have acted with Mark Lenard (Sarek of Star Trek) in a brief local stage presentation. A lot has just come naturally and all began when I first saw the likes of Rich Little on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and saw how much they enjoyed what they were doing and I wanted to, too. I would watch and mimic Rich as a kid and wherever I went I was always working on voices. It was free and my paper route didn't pay much. I was interactive T.V. before T.V. was interactive.

My Studio Equipment

I use a digital hand audio recorder that I transfer to my computer and make discs out of.

Additional Skills

I am enthusiastic about projects concerning voice over and being the voice provider. I can write some and am writing for myself and just otherwise compiling a body of work that can be threshed later. It's just been a matter of gathering the raw and unrefined up to this point. My head is always busy with scenarios and scenes.
