My Voice Experience
Even though I've been acting onstage since I was 8 years old, cartoons have always been my favorite thing...it wasn't until I was in high school that I realized I could potentially have a job being in cartoons, and I was hooked ever since.
Since I started pursuing voice over work, I've been mostly involved in doing independent projects, reading stories for friends' video assignments, playing different original characters in audio readings of stories, and imitating already well-known characters, which has been a total blast.
Also, one of my favorite things I've done, I'm the voice of the (very cute) mascot of a convention in a nearby state!
I've been an actor onstage since I was 8, and have taken many classes on the acting process and been part of many productions. When I graduated high school, I went to the American Music and Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles, where I studied acting for a year. When I moved back to Texas, I continued my acting pursuits until I realized that radio might be a better track to push me toward voice acting.
I'm currently a student in a Film/Radio/TV track, and planning on graduating within the next year and a half!
I've also had singing training since I was very young, and am quite happy with my singing voice. Next to acting, singing is my favorite thing to do.
I've also had some writing training, doing everything from plays to PSAs to short stories. A play I wrote was produced at the University of Texas in Arlington in 2013.
My Studio Equipment
Currently I record with Audacity and a Samson bullet microphone in a homemade studio. I have access to different microphones and rooms at school, but my studio at home has served me quite well so far.
I love singing, have assisted in writing Ad copy in the past, and love getting to know characters. I'm a great team member, and absolutely love meeting new people and having fun making art with them!
